“Robotics and mechatronics center.
The Robotics and Mechatronics Center (RMC) is a DLR cluster and competence center for research and development in the areas of robotics, mechatronics and optical systems. Mechatronics is the closest integration of mechanics, electronics and information technology to the realization of “intelligent mechanisms” that interact with their environment. The main competence of RMC is interdisciplinary (virtual) design, computer-aided optimization and simulation, as well as the implementation of complex mechatronic systems and man-machine interfaces. In the robotic community, the center is considered one of the leading institutions in the world”.
